This original photographic collection includes wildlife photographs taken by August Farrow between January 1st 2020 & December 31st 2020.

Needless to say, with everything going on with the pandemic in 2020 (both due to a personal choice to act out of an abundance of caution and to local mandates restricting access/enforcing closures), I did not get out nearly as much as I normally would. Of course, less opportunity to make up for bad weather days, horrible lighting/angles or poor shots due to extra squirrely subjects not cooperating and well it is what it is.

That being said, this year features many more crappy shots than usual as in some cases I literally only had one opportunity lasting seconds to take the shot. Still, it's a good representation of what I was able to see during my comparatively limited 2020 outings.

Fortunately, the year wasn't a total loss. I was still able to capture some interesting critters in unexpected places - some I have never seen or shot before or that I've rarely had the opportunity to photograph.

I was able to spend a total of 3 days in Anahuac, Texas. This is what I saw and was able to photograph during that time.

This is not a book to showcase my photography. It's a photo collection highlighting the wildlife that was actually seen at this location during this period. It's not what could potentially exist there but wildlife that was actually there, seen and photographed by this visitor.

In this book, I will give you the exact same experience I have had – that of walking through nature and stumbling across a variety of flora and fauna without labels or descriptions.

Rather than a reference book, this is more of a photographic catalog of my observations during the time I spent there that year. Though that isn't a lot of time, I have a special knack for stumbling across an astonishing amount of wildlife - for being in just the right place at just the right time (at least when it comes to nature). I hope this book will encourage you too to go out and explore the natural world.
